This review is from: Yard-Man 31AS2N1C701 21-Inch 179cc Gas Powered Single Stage Snow Thrower With Electric Start (Lawn & Patio) I bought this snowblower after blowing up another brand on a large snow storm. I knew after a 20" storm in Mn, where I live, I would not be able to find a snowblower at my local stores. I went on Amazon and in 2 days had this one delivered to my front door, before the next storm. This model has plenty of power to clear snow up to 12" deep and with working it in and out 24" deep snow. It's light enough that I can use one hand. I would recommend this model to anyone. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By Arnold R Weingart "Have a nice day, Tomorrow ... Yes over the years I've had to replace expendable parts, shave plate, v-belt, clutch cable, but it still runs strong... that's the reason I bought this new baby and this one has electric start! Bring on the snow, I dare ya! Oh, my old girl is not being retired, she's going to my Dad, I'll use it at his place to clear his property... Oh, don't forget this is an American-based company. Support our Troops and our businesses! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Linda M "Linda M" (Valatie, NY USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Yard-Man 31AS2N1C701 21-Inch 179cc Gas Powered Single Stage Snow Thrower With Electric Start (Lawn & Patio) What a winter! I have a tractor with a snowblower attachment that I use for the main parts of the driveway. I'm on a hill so I can't get fancy with the tractor. This is a great machine for me to use to touch up the edges and to use when there are only a few inches of snow out there on the main part. I have even used this machine to clean up where the plows have filled in. It does a great job for the most part. My only complaint is that the chute clogs frequently. I have sprayed the inside with cooking oil and that helps some. But honestly, I am impressed as to what this single stage thrower can do. The only time I needed to use the electric start is when I shut the machine down to unclog the chute. On a cold start, all it takes is one easy pull. Out of the box, all I had to do was flip the handle up and fasten it, add oil and gas and I was on my way. This winter was a supreme test for any snowblower and this machine has done the job I purchased it for. |
