The Yard Machines 2-Cycle 4.5 HP single-stage snow thrower has a 4.5 HP 2-cycle Tecumseh engine with plenty of power to clear away snow up to 10 inches high. A push-button electric start and auger-propelled drive system keep this thrower going, and manual pitch control lets you adjust it to the varying terrain. The thrower clears a 21-inch wide path and has an auger/clutch control system keeps the engine running when bail is released so you don't have to go through frustrating restarts. Yard Machines backs its thrower with a 2-year limited warranty.

Summary: If it's broke, ya gotta fix it! 2008-01-19
Comment: The snowblower I ordered from Amazon/tru-value was shipped in a timely manner but was damaged. The shipping box was in good condition, but one wheel was damaged. Repeated calls to Amazon have not resulted in the problem being fixed. It is the first bad experience with Amazon, but beware!

Comment: This is the second yard machine I have owned. First one lasted 18 years and was still running albiet a little weak. Not much of chance to rate the new one since it only snowed once after purchase. It runs quieter, starts easily and seems to throw a little further. If it's anything like the last machine I will be happy.

Comment: Not as light weight as I would have preferred but definitely portable, handle folds down to facilitate summer storage. Starts easily when new will see how long this lasts but has electric start option just in case. Easy to handle and operate as I'm 59 year old female. Great price for this item.
