I'm in the Northeast and we've had ALOT of snow/ice mix this season. I had 6" of powder on top of about 1" of ice on top of about 8" of mixed snow on the roof of my garage. It's an interior corner so if I don't clear it, I get massive Ice Damming.
The rake did it's job fairly well and for the most part, I'm happy I got something as quickly as I did and that it helped get the job done since we're expecting another storm this week.
The downside.........
1) With three poles on it ( ~12'-15' long ) it does sway and bend a lot. Not sure they can do much about that and still keep the whole thing lite.
2) The connection to the blade needs to be redesigned. What they did was cut a slot in the pole that fits around the top edge of the blade. I tightened it down enough but not too much because it would crush the pole flat. After clearing all the snow/ice off the roof, I noticed that from pulling on it to get the snow down, it is starting to tear the aluminum...Read more

The snow rake assembled easily and helped remove much snow from my roof. However, the handle is a little flimsy and the rake becomes difficult to control. A more rigid handle would be better. The rake comes with a "shingle saver," a strip of plastic that fits on the edge of the rake to protect shingles - mine broke and fell off after 30 minutes of use.
OK product,

Works, but a little flimsy when all of the handle pieces are put together. I guess if the handle segments were much sturdier, the rake would be a lot heaver, so not really a big deal. Get this if you have a two story house. My house is taller as the basement is not completely under ground level in some areas due to topography, so even with this longer rake, I had to use a step ladder to reach most areas. No fault of the item, it's probably the longest rake anyone could safely maneuver, just trying give an idea of its working length.
