Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Murray 1501435MA Friction Wheel Disc (Lawn & Patio) The Murray friction wheel was an exact fit and works perfectly on my old Sears snow blower. Sears no longer carries the part. Price was reasonable and shipping was super fast. However, its a chore to dissemble a number of mechanical parts in order to replace the friction wheel. This job is not for a beginner. By T. This review is from: Murray 1501435MA Friction Wheel Disc (Lawn & Patio) This is the part that wears out from use, the snowblower will loose its ability to propel itself. Although a chain can fall off it is most likely this has worn out. Unfortunately this part is not easily replaced. There are several parts which need to be lined up and held into place at the same time while putting the friction wheel back into place. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Murray 1501435MA Friction Wheel Disc (Lawn & Patio) Winter 2009-2010 I started having problem with my snow-thrower not always moving well under its own power. It still threw snow a long way, it just didn't drive its wheels consistently. Sometimes it would go quickly then stop, then go slowly. Often reverse did not work at all.I opened up the case of my snow-thrower (an Ariens 524 that I had purchased new in the fall of 2002) and it had a pile of little bits of rubber built up on bottom of the case. It was pretty easy to spot where they came from, my original friction wheel was down to bare metal in places. Removal and replacement was done in the fall of 2010 before a snowfall record setting winter. My snow thrower worked perfectly through many storms that dropped a foot or more of snow. The right part at a good price. |
