I can't blame the seller because he never claimed that these are OEM. I bought them because they were cheap and I figured, rubber is rubber. Unfortunately not. They fit ok, but are about 1/2 of the thickness of the OEM paddles. This means that they will likely wear out twice as fast. I will be back online to buy the OEM in a season or 2 and have to break out the ratchet set again. Spend the extra $15 and buy the real deal!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME! Rubber is only reinforced with cloth for 1/3 of the thickness. The OEM paddles are reinforced throughout the entire thickness. Lack of reinforcement makes the rubber soft. The screws holding it on the auger nearly pulled through. I had to place the reinforced side toward the screws and use washers in some places. After 1/2 a season I already have 3 years of wear. That is about 1/4 inch.

Purchased the MTD Snowblower paddles for 753-04472.
These arrived in record time for standard shipping, about 2 business days from date of purchase.
Installed on my MTD snow thrower, they fit fairly well, holes in the right spots, etc. One of them rubs on the snow thrower housing some, but it looks like the original paddles did too.
The rubber that these are made of is clearly not the same as the rubber on the original paddles. I don't know if this is due to a supplier bait and switch, or if they came from the manufacturer that way. I noticed when taking the originals off of my snow thrower that the originals were not 100% consistent with each other, so I'd be willing to accept that the inconsistency is on the manufacturer side (however the ones that were mailed to me didn't have a shred of packaging to indicate they were manufactured by MTD).
I'll re-post if they fail catastrophically, or somehow outperform the originals, unless/until then I'd...Read more
