Great for the light stuff....,

I have a steep 100' driveway that leads down to a large parking area. I typically use a diesel tractor with a plow blade or a snowthrower to clear the asphalt. If it isn't cleared down to the surface, you don't go. All is fine except for the frequent dustings we get here. They're too light for either piece of equipment, and picture pushing snow off a 100' driveway with a snow shovel. So when I came across the ManPlow, the concept interest me so I decided to give it a try and ordered the 36" blade.
The ManPlow arrived in a large flat box and was assembled for the most part. I only had to attach the handle to the blade. A standard open end wrench was provided as if they assumed you would not even have the most basic tools in your house. Normally these things are good insurance against any further snowfalls, but that was not the case when we got a light dusting several days after I stood it up against the wall of my barn.
Make no mistake, this is not a snow...Read more

Solid, simple snow pusher, great for 2 inches of light snow,
February 6, 2010 Snowman "Tim" (Illinois) - See all my reviews
The Manplow (36") has a solid and simple ergonomic design that is great for most light snow clean up jobs. The design is the foundation, but the wear strip makes the Manplow special.
The wear strip has a flat bottom (2.5 inches, front to back) that allows you to direct the blade up or down in the snow. If you lower the handle, the blade rides up in the snow, and if you raise the handle the blade digs into the snow. I use this feature to create a snow ramp into the yard. As I approach the edge of the driveway, I just lower the handle and the blade goes up and into the yard so you can push the snow well out of the way. The wear strip is also designed so you can pull snow toward you. This is great for pulling snow away from objects like car tires, fences, walls, etc..
The Manplow itself is light for its size. If you are young and strong you could also use the Manplow for deeper snow, it's solidly built. However, the stress on the body (heart, shoulders and...Read more

SERIOUSLY DO NOT EAT THE MANPLOW,

This review is from: Manplow PRO36 36-Inch Deep Snow Pusher (Lawn & Patio)
This plow has a warning label on the back that says harmful if swallowed, it is almost as big a joke as this plow. The manplow works great on 100% smooth surfaces with very little and light snow. We are able to use them to clear out the entrance to our buildings, as it is a huge slab of smooth concrete, however the sidewalks have cracks, that the plow can't push over. Our blowers at around the same price, work a lot faster. The plow can only push so much snow before it gets to heavy. Shoveling the snow seems so much faster and doesn't leave the slick surface that the plastic bottom of the Manplow leaves.all in all, we are disappoint that these expensive shovels were bought for us, but we did get a huge laugh at the warning label that can be seen on display at all times, because we never use this thing.
