We have lived in northern Michigan, where it snows almost every day in the winter, for 15 years and just discovered the heat trak mats last winter (2010) What a blessing these heat mats have turned out to be !! I wish we had known about them sooner, as it would have saved a lot of shoveling over the years.

Bubby,
If you buy the HeatTrak pad buy this HeatTrak HR-EXT25 Watertight Cable Extender, 25-Feet as well. As a guy I thought that the other cord would be long enough. As man I knew that what looks long enough seldom is. Trust me like other things you've measured in your life, extra length is better. Otherwise you will bemoaning the length of just the enclosed cord in the original packaging. And wondering why you didn't just pony up at the time of your original purchase, and with the free shipping from Amazon and the great return policies how could you go wrong?
