No issue, just a pair of pliers and I was off and running. My unit came with oil in the crankcase and I had some gas in the garage. The unit started with the first pull. This unit has plenty of power to move the most water-laden snow and throw it far. I have not been able to find snow deep enough or heavy enough to stall the engine.
The choice of locking one or both wheels to the drive axel is very handy. With one wheel locked it is very easy to turn and pivot. On the steep parts of my drive I can lock both wheels for better traction. The design makes it easy to change from one to two and back even with gloves on and it can be done by simply tipping the unit up on one side. Having six forward speeds is overkill, but the two reverse speeds are very handy. There are no plastic parts and I don't have any worries about this unit lasting. The Clutch for the Auger (blades) it now jammed and wont stop running even with everything released. When I called regarding service they told me that I had to bring it to a certified dealer for repair. I was also told that they Typically Have Problems Out Of The Box!! What? Is that a joke. No wonder people don't but American anymore. |
