Comment: Quality wooden handle. Plastic bucket is not as durable as metal, obviously, but is much lighter and will save your back some strain. Use mine for shoveling snow, works great.

Comment: I have had this shovel for years and have used it for more things around my home than you can imagine. It took the last big storm of this winter and an overly frustrated shoveller to finally break it. I did not hesitate to replace it with another. I used Amazon because all the stores in the East were out of snow shovels. Ames is one of those companies that proves American-made can be better!

Comment: We had 5' of snow this year. These shovels are light, strong and carry a nice size scoop of snow. Been using them for years and these were bought for neighbors. Order was shipped fast and delivered in good condition, plus the price was great.

Comment: Have owned one for years, bought more for dad and business. Just the best thing for moving snow - light, durable.

Comment: The True Temper shovel did the trick for me. I needed a high volume delivery shovel to move the large amounts of leaves that fall from my 150 year old oak tree. The shovel holds four times more than the ones I already owned.
The quality seemed good at first. Now I notice that after owning it for one month and using it 3 times to shovel leaves, the plastic D handle is cracked. Not a sign of good quality. Also, I cannot see any indication of where it was made. Suspect it is of Chinese origin.
