There's no better way to test a snow shovel than during a heavy snowfall, and I got my chance!

The maiden voyage of this shovel was during one of the heaviest December snowstorms in recent memory. It was invaluable - this shovel handled wet snow as well as powdered snow with zero difficulty.

The handle and the main bulk of the shovel itself are made out of plastic. The steel strip on the bottom helped to move snow off my driveway with less effort, and clearing my concrete steps was a breeze.

I didn't have the chance to test this on icy snow because it scooped everything up so well!

A clean driveway (with no aching back and no blisters) was my reward.

Highly recommended!

UPDATE: This shovel came through again, during the Snowpocalypse of 2010!!!
