Double Duty Folding Vehicle Shovel

I was recently given this shovel as a gift, and during my first time using the shovel the reverse handle broke.

I was using the shovel during a recent winter storm and I needed to use it to clean out some snow. While making use of the Reverse Handle feature for removing deep snow the plastic handle/joint broke on me.

Before the reverse handle/joint broke, the deep snow removal feature was working really well. It really made moving a bunch of snow at once easier. However, the plastic joint/handle appears to have failed due to a thin spot in molded plastic and not being built strong enough to handle the heavy snow.

The shovel feature is still usable and I will continue to use it as a collapsible shovel for my car, but i was disappointed that the other feature broke so easily. I will be contacting company to see if the defective part can be replaced.

This shovel is awesome. Having it in the car is such a handy thing because all the pieces come apart and requires very little room to store the shovel. Compact and durable I think it is a must for winter driving. As well it is the perfect size for my 4 year old to play with in the snow.
